If your hotel is not able to provide a direct ferry service, you will need to take a ferry boat to Saracen Bay on Koh Rong Samloem. Saracen Bay is the main tourist area on Samloem, and is very easy to get to by ferry boat.
Once there, you will need to take another boat to Sunset Beach, as the walk through the jungle is not easy with bags. Your hotel should help you with this.
There are 5 main Ferry Boat services between Sihanoukville, Koh Rong, and Koh Rong Samloem. These are Speed Ferry Cambodia (SFC), Island Speed Boat Cambodia (ISBC), Buva Sea (BS), Angkor Speed Ferry (ASF), and GTVC. (There are also a couple of $5-$10 ‘Slow Boat’ services that take 1.5 – 2.5 hours – These services are not professionally run and are not recommended).
All 5 services leave from the Ochheuteal (AKA ‘Serendipity’) pier in Sihanoukville, and go directly to Saracen Bay, sometimes via Koh Touch on Koh Rong.
All ferry services can be very busy – We strongly recommend you book your tickets in advance and not miss out on the day. You can book your ferry tickets online now here:Book Your Ferry Tickets Now
